Follow this guide to learn how to set up your Shady Boy™ Awning
Setup in minutes.
Setting up the Shady Boy Awning takes only a few minutes and can be done by one person. To set up the awning, simply insert the supporting rods into the designated holes and tuck the opposite ends into the pockets of the fabric. Supplied guy lines allow you to adjust the height of the fabric. Taking it down is the reverse procedure: wrap the fabric around the rods and roll it towards the awning case. The fabric and rods can easily be removed from the case if you want to store it during the off-season.
1. Open The Case
Squeeze the case closed and remove the red security clip from behind the case.
2. Unroll The Awning & Poles
Unroll the awning from the case and separate the poles from the awning, then unsnap & unfold the awning from the case.
3. Awning Setup
Insert the poles into the aluminum blocks. Once the side poles are in, insert them into the corner pockets of the awning, then insert the central pole into the block and awning.
4. Support Ropes Setup
Attach the guy ropes to the awning and the base of the camper or into stakes in the ground.
5. Support Poles Setup
For the optional support poles, snap the buckles to the awning and stand them up on the ground
6. Clean-up & Pack out
Just do this process but backwards!
